Foreself is a product of RingBounty, Inc. ("Foreself," "we," "us"), a Delaware corporation located at 353 Lexington Avenue, 4th Floor Ste 494, New York, NY 10016. We build a mobile app that turns a spoken description of an upcoming moment into a short narrated rehearsal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Foreself is a practice tool, not a medical or therapeutic service.
Account information. Your email address, your display name if you provide one, and — if you sign in with Apple or Google — the account identifier that provider supplies to us. We also assign you an internal user ID.
Voice recordings. When you describe a moment aloud, we send the recording to a transcription provider and convert it to text. We delete the original audio once transcription completes and do not retain raw voice recordings. Recording is optional; you can type your description instead.
Transcripts and rehearsals. The text of what you said or typed, and the script and narrated audio generated from it, stored with your account until you delete them.
Moment and reminder data. Dates, times, time zone, and reminder preferences you set when anchoring a rehearsal to a real event.
Subscription information. Purchase and entitlement status from the App Store or Google Play, relayed through our subscription management provider. We never receive or store your card details; Apple and Google process payment.
Usage, device, and diagnostic data. Product analytics about how you use the app (for example which screens you open and how long a session lasts), crash reports and performance diagnostics, a push-notification token, and device or installation identifiers assigned by our analytics, crash-reporting, and subscription providers. Our servers also log IP addresses as part of normal operation and security.
We do not collect your location. The app never requests location permission, and we do not derive your location from your IP address.
We use this information to generate your rehearsal scripts and narrated audio; to schedule the reminders you set; to operate, secure, and improve the app; to process payments and manage your subscription; and to communicate with you about your account or, if you opt in, product updates.
We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising or other companies' own purposes, and we do not use your rehearsal content to train AI models.
What you tell Foreself before a rehearsal can be personal — a stressful conversation, an exam, a competition. We run automated safety screening on this content before generating a rehearsal, to catch and appropriately handle anything suggesting you may be in crisis.
If you are in crisis or considering harming yourself, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line in your area. Foreself is not equipped to provide that help.
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run Foreself: a database and file storage provider, an AI transcription provider, an AI script-generation provider, a text-to-speech provider, a content-safety screening provider, a subscription and billing provider, and standard crash-reporting and analytics tools.
Each processes only what is needed to perform its function, acts on our instructions, and is contractually restricted from using your data for its own purposes, including model training. A current list of these providers is available on request at support@foreself.com.
We keep your transcripts, scripts, and rehearsal audio until you delete a specific rehearsal or delete your account.
Deleting your account from Settings in the app removes your profile, rehearsals, reminders, and associated audio files from our systems, and we instruct our processors to delete the records they hold for you.
If you cannot open the app, you can request deletion at https://www.foreself.com/delete-account. We complete web deletion requests within 14 days of verifying that the request comes from the account holder.
After deletion we retain a limited set of records where we are required or permitted to: billing and transaction records for up to seven years for tax and accounting purposes, and limited security and fraud-prevention logs for up to twelve months. These records do not include your rehearsal content.
We are based in the United States and our providers process data in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data transfer restrictions, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limiting who can reach your data, and industry-standard hosting. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You can play, review, and delete your rehearsals at any time in the app, and delete your account entirely from Settings. You can turn off reminder notifications in the app or in your device settings. You can decline microphone access and type your descriptions instead.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to our use of your information, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and certain other US states may have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. Foreself is intended for adults. The app is rated 18+ and is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact support@foreself.com.
We will update this page if our practices change and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
